A good motel for a fair price. The room was clean and tidy.
I didn't like how the bathroom didn't have a sink, it was in the living area.. The bed sheets weren't that comfy.

Although there was only 1 lady she was very nice and as helpful as she could be considering what the Lodge had to offer. Nice view and close to the beach and town.
The ammenities were far from even a standard rating: No phones in room, old a/c window unit that was loud, no wifi which is a must now these days, no hairdryer in room, lighting consisted of 1 bolted down lamp beside bed, bathroom had no vanity it was located in the main bedroom which is ridiculous , rug wet under said vanity, This lodge is under renovation which was not stated on web site. Strongly suggest Web site changed to show perspective clients what they're really paying for. Do not show only your best rooms but pics of all rooms. Overall this place was a disappointment and I definitely payed way too much. Won't be back, thanks for an experience I do not want to relive

This place really is a time warp, but nicely kept up. Bed and Beach. Beach is a 5-7 min walk away (past cottages) and motel is on a main road, so no big deal at all. Wasaga Beach is gorgeous as always, and its great to have options like this motel. Prices were jacked for an August long weekend (true for all of Wasaga). The manager took care of the groups + families, and made sure the propane bbq was working + fire pit was up + people had stuff to take care of their charcoal grills. This is a good place to bring a group. She came around and ensured the ac was working and we were comfortable, which was an unexpected touch. The hotel is actually on the river, so there's a nice backyard area at the rivers edge with picnic tables + BBQ. The 1 bedrooms are spacious and have 2 futons in them (plus the bed in the bedroom), which helped, as some friends joined us. There's room to very comfortably host 6 people. They're solid and comfortable. Fridge + microwave combo is a plus. Everything was clean, wood construction is kinda cottage-feel and nice.
Some small maintenance issues, but nothing major. An el-cheapo doorknob to the bedroom came right off, and the sink's tap handle kept coming off. A ceiling fan in living room made a grinding noise, but ac worked well so no biggie. It felt like they just "reset" the falling-off handle and tap-handle from the previous guests without fixing it, but there were no showstoppers. Everything that mattered for a comfortable stay was clean and worked (toilet, tub, towels, sheets, fridge, microwave).

The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful whenever we needed something from them. We like its closness to the beach and to highways in and out of Wasaga.
We were dissapointed it didn't include free WI-FI which we also stated last year. This service , anymore, is almost a neseccity. There are no phones in the rooms.

Free parking, lots of clean towels, clean bathroom, staff monitored/kept on top of potential non-guests which made us feel safe. Pleasant staff, really friendly housekeeping woman, fire pit, some rooms looked onto the river (not ours though), not too far (about 10 minutes) walk to the beach, great water pressure in bathroom. Booked room for 2 originally; another friend came along last minute & surcharge was $25 which seemed reasonable.
Websites incorrectly advertised (lied?) this location as newly renovated, premium linens, etc. All untrue. Exposed ancient fabric- covered wiring, no speed control ceiling fan / light from 1970 in "living rm", ac unit on high in bdrm cycled up & down roaring like a big rig was coming thru the room, dripped constantly into the room onto a wooden ledge near the floor & onto the carpeting all night, no overhead light in the bedroom, teeny bar fridge that was barely cold & mini- freezer was half-filled w/ ice build-up, 1 double bed in bedroom & 2 futons in lvgrom. We ended up paying over $200 for that one night which was uncomfortable, noisy & way, way overpriced. We expected some "rustic" features as many of these places are older, but this was ridiculous & I feel misled by web claims made by both Booked.net & by Riverview Lodge & ripped off.

I liked the cedar walls and ceiling. It made me feel like i was in a little cabin instead of a typical motel room. :-)
The only thing i didnt like is that i was not offered sheets, pillows and blankets for the kids. ( they slept on the futons). Other than that it was a great stay.

Location and price. 5 minute walk to the beach, close to downtown. Bonus was a large bar fridge. Beds were comfortable . Air conditioner worked excellent. Thick drapes to keep the sunlight out ( helped out our young kids to bed quicker). Staff members friendly and knowledgeable.
Not clean. Shower in a state of disrepair. No sink in bathroom or mirror, this was out in the room with the beds. Only one entry/exit, would have been nice to have an exit door to the back hard area. Lots of insects in the bathroom and spiders and spiderwebs above the main entry door. This hotel is more for single people and not families with young kids. The pool is at the donato house , within walking distance , however not practical to walk with young kids with all their bags and water toys .

Stairs leading up to second level very dangerous. one of the stairs are on a slight slant, both my friend and I almost took a wipe out everytime we came downstairs.
